Your guide to
dealing with
challenging
clients
W
hen a client has a
problem, her com-
ments can feel like a
personal attack. Re-
gardless of who's wrong and who's right,
we must find ways to build relationships
instead of breaking them down, even
when they are tested with complaints
and difficult attitudes. Don't let your
pride get in the way. That said, there
are some clients whose constant nega-
tivity is difficult to build a professional
relationship on. Do you know when you
should work hard to save a relationship,
or move forward and let go of a client?
It all has to do with knowing the kind of
difficult client you're dealing with.
